The overall goals of HOPE are:

1. to assist the neglected poor in the developing world to help themselves.
2. to encourage development of the whole person.
3. to inform and educate people of North America regarding issues related to the developing world.
4. to motivate the people of North America to action in support of the developing world.
5. to facilitate and provide a mechanism for active participation between the people of North America and the developing world.
