What You Can Do

World AIDS Day is December 1, and you can celebrate and support wherever you are, and keep celebrating through the month of December. Your celebration, generosity, and initiative - however small or big - will help AIDS orphans in Ethiopia redefine their lives in a significant and meaningful way.

Need some ideas? Here's a start -- but the sky's the limit! The question is, what will YOU do?

Step 1:

Decide to BE the change you want to see

Step 2:

Brainstorm what you can do:
  • Sign up to support an AIDS orphan.
  • Invite other friends and family to sign up.
  • Give a Day's Pay in celebration of World AIDS Day.
  • Give the gift of helping a child in need this holiday.
  • Tell your colleagues, friends, or parents and relatives about World AIDS Day. Invite them to consider giving one day of their pay, or just one hour, to support an AIDS orphan. Every small act of kindness will make a difference, and your invitation may be all they need.
  • Make an announcement at school or on campus, and invite people to come together and put on a little fundraiser before Christmas.
  • Host a film showing. {un.orphan'd}'s film is available online or we can send you a DVD copy.
  • Dream up an awesome idea of your own.

Step 3:

Choose ONE action that you want to take. You can take 5, or 10, or 20. But start with ONE.

Step 4:

Go do it. And tell us about it, so we can help you in any way, provide any resources you might need, and cheer you on!
