Nearly four decades of experience working with the world's poorest families has taught us that they are resourceful, capable and ready to improve their lives.

This is why your support, whether a gift of time or money, is so important. The world's poorest families are caught in a cycle of poverty that is reinforced by a lack of resources and in some cases, knowledge. You can save a poor family in Africa, Asia, or Central America with your gift.

You can volunteer here at home or overseas in a community or village

Consider volunteering your time, skills, and energy to make a difference for people in need.

Overseas, through HOPE International Development Agency's UNION (Understanding Needs in Other Nations) program, you can come to know people from a poor community by living and working alongside them.

Each year we organize groups of volunteers, or UNION teams, to participate in a different community development initiative.

In Canada, we rely on volunteers to help us raise money for people overseas. You can hold a fundraising event in your community, help bring people with a 'heart for the poor' to one of our fundraising dinners, or volunteer in our office in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada.

You can donate to one of our development projects in Africa, Asia, or Central America

HOPE International Development Agency is directly connected with people living in poor countries who have an intimate knowledge of the effects of poverty. More importantly, they have the ability and creativity to effectively fight poverty, and they are fiercely committed to doing just that. What they lack is money. You have the opportunity to take action by making a donation to friends overseas who are working to bring self-reliance to the poor.

Building Family Ties

Through our Building Family Ties program, you have an opportunity to learn how your regular donations positively affect the lives of people overseas. We can make a link between you and a specific family or child in India, Ethiopia, and the Philippines.

You can work for HOPE International Development Agency

From time to time, HOPE seeks qualified and committed individuals to work with us in Canada, or on one of our overseas projects when certain skills are needed but can not be sourced locally. Although opportunities are limited, you are welcome to submit a letter of interest along with a summary of your skills/qualifications to HOPE.
