“Education is how I change my life and my community.”

For children in rural areas of the Philippines, South Sudan and other places where extreme poverty is pervasive, education is the path out of extreme poverty.

A child living in poverty without educational possibilities becomes an adult trapped in poverty without possibility.

Because Lurenda, a 16-year old girl living on the Philippine island of Mindanao is receiving and education she is on her way to fulfilling her dream of become a nurse. Her life will be much different and full of possibility and hope.

The foundation of any community is the education of its children and youth. When children and youth gain access to a good education, they gain access to a world of possibilities.
